Bari Moscovitz, Israel
Born in Haifa, Israel, Bari graduated in Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance, where he received a B Mus degree in Theory and Composition. He furthered his studies at the Instituto Vittadini in Pavia, Italy, completing a graduate specialization diploma for lute performance with an emphasis on Renaissance and Baroque music. Mr. Moscovitz is in demand as a performer inIsrael and Europe, with an extensive array of recordings broadcast on Israeli, Swiss and Italian radio, focusing on the genres of early and Jewish music. Bari has collaborated with Roberto Balconi, Daniel Akiva, Massimo Lonardi, the Jerusalem Baroque Orchestra, the Israel Camerata Orchestra, Phoenix Ensemble and others. He is on faculty at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance and the Israel Conservatory of Music in Tel Aviv, where he teaches lute and early music. A recipient of numerous grants among them from the America-Israel cultural foundation Mr. Moscovitz was twice awarded the fellowship for advanced specialization from the Italian Cultural Foundation.
